What is motivation?

Motivation is the reason for people's actions, desires, and needs.

Motivation is also one's direction to behavior, or what causes a person to want to repeat a behavior.
-Wikipedia

My motivators

  • Urge to improve
  • Urge to create
  • Urge to do something new
  • Urge to distinguish myself
  • Urge to grow, and see others grow

What motivates me?

Intrinsic motivation vs Extrinsic motivation

Motivators - helpful questions

  • What do you value?
  • Is it task-based or result-based?
  • Where do you get your energy from?

  • What activities do you perform in a state of flow?
  • No. Not everyone can do what you can
  • You're already using your talents, even though you might not know it
  • What do others thank you for?
